This piece was born from a period of confronting the shadow self, the inner being, the physical self, and everything that makes a person whole — an intense and unfiltered stretch of self-examination. It reflects the realization that even in the middle of overwhelming emotion, there is always something to create; art becomes a diary for whatever is being felt.
